
Neil Pinholster has studied and practiced energy medicine since 1976.
Neil Pinholster has been studying, practicing and teaching somatic and energy work for 40 years. Initially he focused his studies on Polarity Therapy. He was the head of the teaching department of the Polarity Health Institute, Orcas Island, Washington. He first studied Craniosacral Therapy (CST) in 1996 with the Upledger Institute and continued with his Upledger Craniosacral studies through the advanced level. Neil has completed the three-year foundation program in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) with the International Institute for Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. He continues his BCST study with the Shea Educational Group and has completed several advanced programs. He has completed Peter Levine's three-year program in Somatic Experiencing, a mindfulness approach to trauma resolution.
Neil has served as a teaching assistant for Michael Shea, PhD for numerous classes including a six-level course in BCST and Trauma Resolution at the Cortiva Institute in Scottsdale and a Trauma Resolution for Massage Therapists class in Tucson. In 2016 Neil completed two workshops in Craniosacral Therapy for Concussions in Phoenix with Michael Shea, PhD, and has noted significant changes in his clients with MTBI.
Neil has led workshops in California, Oregon and Arizona. He taught CST for five years at the Arizona School for Integrative Studies, a massage school in Prescott, Arizona. He has maintained a full-time private clinical practice since 1990 and has practiced Polarity Therapy since 1976.
Neil is an award-winning stone sculptor.
